For several years I suffered from pain from time to time in my lower back L-4-5 and in my left leg. I had microscopic surgery 1996. I was better, but still had some pain issues from time to time. Last summer (2007) I was not able to play golf as pain was getting severe. I went to two doctors in Chicago. They both gave me injections in L4-5. I was taking very strong pain medication. I came to Florida in October. In Florida I saw three doctors (two are very recognized neurosurgeons.) They all said no to surgery because of too many back pain issues. Again there were more injections, which were just a Band-Aid.
I heard from a couple of friends about Dr Biscup. I was so excited when he told me he could help me. He requested that I get a stand-up MRI. There he found I had bone fragments from surgery before, a cyst, and a bulging disc. These were all pressing on the same nerve.
I decided to have surgery and I was so happy when I woke from surgery with NO PAIN! I’m still in therapy, and work out at the gym. I feel I’ll be playing golf in a few weeks. It’s been about 10 weeks since my surgery. Once in awhile I may take 2 Advil at night. My left leg is getting stronger everyday. I’m so grateful as I was almost ready to give up. Dr Biscup gave me back my quality of life.
